The Bereavement
Services Department at Hospice By The Sea is available to provide
support, counseling, and understanding to you and your family during
your time of grief. Bereavement groups are offered in Broward and
Palm Beach Counties.
The loss of a loved one has many meanings for us. While every person’s
experience is unique, there are some common features of grief . Hospice
By The Sea offers the following programs in an effort to better assist

Support
Groups
Hospice
By The Sea’s support groups are designed to help you to adjust
to life without your loved one. In a safe and caring atmosphere,
feelings and coping skills are explored and information is shared.
All groups are conducted by professional clinicians and run on 4-week
cycles. Pre-registration is necessary, as space is limited. |

| Individual,
Couple, and Family Counseling
Counseling
is available for those who would be uncomfortable in a group setting
or who need extra help in a crisis situation. |

Camp Good Grief
Children have an ability to combine happiness with
sadness. Camp Good Grief is a weekend bereavement camp for children,
ages 6 - 13. Activities such as memory collages, drama, therapeutic
art projects, crafts, and outdoor games make up the camp program.
The day culminates in a memorial service. Grieving children often
feel a sense of isolation and Camp Good Grief helps to minimize
that feeling.

Memorial
Services
Hospice By The
Sea invites the families and friends of the patients we were
honored to care for to a Memorial Service. In this time of
reflection, we remember our loved ones. The service is followed
by a time of fellowship. Services are held in Broward and
Palm Beach Counties. |

Outreach Services
Seminars and workshops
on various grief related topics are presented throughout the
community as well as at state and national conferences. Requests
may be tailored to your group or organization’s needs. |
