Abriendo Puertas

“Abriendo Puertas” is a specialized program to educate Hispanics about hospice and provide culturally sensitive end-of-life care to terminally ill Hispanics and their families. The program is the result of a collaborative effort between HBTS and several Hispanic community organizations. The “Abriendo Puertas” care team delivers an individualized plan of care to meet each patient’s needs. Our team is knowledgeable and sensitive to traditions and customs of our Hispanic population.

The “Abriendo Puertas” care team is made up of physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, spiritual counselors, and volunteers.
