The Initiative to Improve Palliative
Care for African-Americans (IIPCA) is a national, grassroots movement
to promote improved care for terminally ill African-Americans. Hospice
By The Sea has recently become a partner in the IIPCA. Janice Fulmore-Tigner, Hospice by the Sea’s African American Community Outreach Coordinator for Broward County, is increasing the knowledge and philosophy of our services in the African American community. She is currently involved with several organizations such as Broward Ministerial Alliances (2 local chapters), Riviera Beach Coalition Council, The Mango Festival of Deerfield Beach (a 3-day cultural Festival), Angel Ministries (Palm Beach & Broward County), and with other local churches and city health expos, fairs and events. by the Sea's African American Community Outreach Coordinator for Palm
